Eye make-up has the power to better define our personality and making our glance more sensual and magnetic. Well, while wearing a face mask, eyes are the only protagonists and are charged with all the expressive power of our face, therefore, it is better to know how to make the most out of them.
But if you're not an expert, applying eyeshadows can be a little intimidating. How do you decide which colors to choose? Or what kind of palette is better for you? And what about the finish? It's true, everyone likes to experiment, but trying things that we are not quite sure about, we can end up with a make up that does not enhance our qualities.
Well, don't worry! nss G-Club is here to help you learn how to apply it as if you were a real professional, just following a few simple steps.
First of all, what is the goal of the eyeshadow? It is used to illuminate and intensify the glance by creating games of light and shadows with the colors on the eyelids. Generally, an opaque finish is used for the crease of the eye; a shimmer finish is used to illuminate the center of the eyelid and a satin texture is good for the inner corner of the eye and under the eyebrow arch. But you know, there are no more fixed rules for make up, so go ahead and express your creativity!
And what about the formulas? The compact powder eyeshadows are the most traditional and also the easiest to use as well as the cream eyeshadows. The same applies to stick eyeshadows. While free powder eyeshadows are perhaps the most difficult to use and therefore better to avoid at the beginning, in order not to risk making a mess.
That said, we just need to find out all the steps and the right products based on the color of the eyes. Are you ready?
STEP 1
To start with a fresh and clean base, the first thing to do is apply an eyeshadow primer on the eyelids. In fact, preparing the skin is a must if you want eye makeup to stay in place and last all day. NB: if you do not have the primer, you can safely apply a concealer that you already own and some translucent powder to create an "improvised primer". This step is fundamental: the base in fact helps make the makeup long lasting, uniforms the skin, transforms the color of the eyeshadow making it more intense and simplifies the nuance (especially if the eye makeup you want to make includes different shades).
STEP 2
Using an eyeshadow brush, now apply a nude shade of eyeshadow that completes the natural skin tone and blend it carefully. This step will help to maximize the longevity and intensity of the colors that you will apply later.
STEP 3
Proceed now with the application of the color, or colors (if you prefer a shaded effect) in this way, helping you with the use of an eyeshadow brush: if you choose a brown palette, for example, put the darker shade on the part of the eyelid more external, then apply the medium intensity nuance on the innermost part while, in the central one, blend the lighter color. If you prefer to use only one color, you can also apply the product on the eyelid with your fingers starting with a light touch and gradually intensifying the color. Remember: when you apply the pigment on the eyelid, tap instead of dragging the brush or finger; this serves to spread the color uniformly, making it adhere better to the skin.
STEP 4
As a last touch, never forget mascara to complete the beauty look! If you are still a beginner, it is better to always apply mascara as a first step, in order to erase any spots on the eyelid without ruining the eye makeup.
As for colors, the basic rule on the choice of shades is to opt for shades that intensify or complement the color of the eyes and then go either by contrast or by affinity to the iris.
LIGHT BLUE EYES
Being blue a cold color, choose golden, orange and bronze nuances that will make them seem even more clear and clear. Alternatively, perfect colors in palettes such as light blue, pearl gray and silver eyeshadows. Black is also an extremely valuable color for this eye color.
GREEN EYES
Choose red shades like plum, burgundy, pink and purple to emphasize their green pigments, or black and white. Alternatively, ok for colors close to the iris such as dark green or sea green. Definitely to be discarded are the shades of blue which remain cold and too dull, thus dampening the beauty of the green eye.
BROWN / BLACK EYES
Opt for shades with a cold palette such as blue, green and purple or for shades close to the color of the eyes such as earth, chocolate and, of course, black. Green light for yellow, bronze and gold eye shadows as well, while all pastel tones are not recommended, which risk turning your eyes off.
