5 nail art trends of November
Inspiration comes from crystals and zodiac signs, but also from winter patterns and fabrics
November 11th, 2020
After the Halloween period with its creepy nail art, we are getting closer and closer to the Christmas time and the winter holidays. Even if the moment does not allow everyone to go to nail salons, there is always the option of DIY nail art, made at home with the use of normal or semi-permanent nail polish (in this case specific tools are needed for application and removal!).
The trends in November are inspired both by the winter time, with nails covered with patters like tartan and the "cable knit" of winter clothes, and by the magical world of zodiac signs, constellations and crystals, and finally by silver & gold, the latter especially in very thin sheets or "gold foil" that recall vintage jewels. Which one will you try?
Crystal mania
Crystals are not only beautiful stones to display in a corner of the house, they also have many beneficial properties and can be used for meditation, for example. The most popular nail art of November are inspired by the streaks of the crystals, in particular the violet ones of the amethyst, or applying colored glitters that recreate the shiny and colorful effect of these special stones.
Zodiac signs and constellations
Not only crystals, even the zodiac signs, horoscope and constellations are among the trends of the year, and for this month in particular also the protagonists of our nail art. You can choose to recreate your constellation or the symbol of the zodiac sign (and rising sign!), and the more skilled can moons, stars and mystical symbols.
Cable Knit
Scrolling through the Instagram feed you surely have seen the brand new "cable knit" nail art, that is the pattern of the woven wool sweaters, meticulously recreated on the nails. Pastel colors and autumn shades are the ones that best suit this warm and enveloping nail art.
Tartan
Always inspired by winter clothing is the nail art that recreates the tartan pattern, which every autumn / winter decorates jackets, sweaters and cardigans, hats and scarves. Here the color palette has no limitations, choose 2-3 shades that combine together and get creative!
Silver & gold
Gold and silver are a timeless classic of the winter period, especially close to the holidays. Better still if they do not cover the all-over nail but create abstract lines and designs, or in the "gold foil" version, thin golden and opaque sheets that create a super chic vintage effect.
