May 3rd, 2021
Over the past few years, skincare has taken up an increasingly large space in the beauty market to the point where, thanks to pandemic and lockdown, it has become not only one of the activities we devote more and more time to, but almost an obsession. Every week there is a stream of new products that make choosing the perfect one for our needs a kind of search for the holy grail, for which we scrupulously inform ourselves. We browse blogs, read articles in magazines or comments on Instagram, and follow the advice of all the beauty influencers and decide what to buy, thus decreeing the success of a company.
But which are the most popular skincare brands in the world? A new study promoted by the e-retailer Lookfantastic reveals us that in first place among online searches (37,060,000 in the last 12 months) is The Ordinary. Since it was founded in 2016, the label has won over consumers with its cruelty-free products, which use no parabens, sulfates or mineral oils, are quality and are formulated specifically for different skin needs. The plus? The super competitive price and minimal packaging.
In second place is Neutrogena with its range of offers focused on skincare and hydration of dry and sensitive skin; in third place, we find the Swedish skintech giant FOREO with its proposal of gadgets and products that range from facial cleansing to mask application and are perfect for a home spa.
The list of the 10 most searched brands also includes Pai Skincare, famous for its creams and calming cleansers designed for sensitive and allergy-prone skin; Moroccanoil with its formulas based on Argan oil or the Korean COSRX.
