Take everything off, but not the lipstick. There are those who do not leave home without them, those who wear it only in one color (often red) and those who love more nude or pink shades. After the difficult months experienced by the lipstick which - due to a pandemic and a mask - has been put aside and replaced by mascara, eye shadows, eyeliner and all that was needed to illuminate the eyes, lipstick is again the protagonist of the beauty-case in compliance with seasonal trends, but also the basic rules for wearing it under the mask. So go ahead with no transfer lip colors and mat lipstick, perfect to complete any long-lasting make-up thanks to the anti-smudging formulas. And what about the colors? Definitely dark: from bright reds to deeper, burgundy and purple. But, pay attention to the application, because it is easy to make mistakes. Here, then, are three rules to follow in order not to make this mistake.
First, the lips need to be well hydrated and nourished. It is therefore better to use a lip scrub at least once a week and always wear a lip balm, even at night. Secondly, matte lipstick has been a trend for some seasons already but it is not so easy to apply: therefore (if possible) always try the texture on the lips before buying lipstick, because it also depends a lot on the skin of the face and therefore of the lips. If it is too dry, in fact, it could dry out even more with a matte lipstick. Last but not least, the best way to prevent a lipstick from smudging, especially between the small expression lines that form on the lip contour over time (the so-called "barcode") is to apply a primer first the application of the lipstick and perhaps a transparent pencil as a contour, which acts as a barrier.
