Beauty Week comes to Milan

After Milano Fashion Week and Milano Design Week, the first Milano Beauty Week is born. The event, promoted by Cosmetica Italia, in partnership with Cosmoprof and Esxence, will involve more than 100 companies and will show the behind-the-scenes of a sector that in Italy alone will have a turnover of 11.7 billion euros in 2021 and employ 36 thousand people, rising to more than 33 billion and 400 thousand if we consider the entire supply chain. Large numbers become even more important if we consider that 55% of the world's cosmetics are produced in Italy. 

"Positioning cosmetics among the recognized excellences of the Italian manufacturing is the ambitious goal that, for several years now, we have promised ourselves to achieve with targeted initiatives and daily dialogue with institutions and media. The ambition is to enter the calendar of the Milanese weeks, alongside fashion, design, wine and the many other standout industries of our country". 

For six days, from 3 to 8 May 2022, Palazzo dei Giureconsulti will become the main venue for stands, talks, meetings, interviews, workshops and experiential laboratories linked to the world of cosmetics, while other secondary venues will be located around the city. This sort of Beauty Village a few steps from the Duomo will be the starting point for exploring four different thematic areas: innovation, sustainability, inclusion, emotion. The ABC Cosmetics area will offer information on products and their formulations; the Beauty Tech area will allow visitors to discover and test the latest technological innovations in the cosmetics field; while in the Beauty Corner, among the stands of partner companies, it will be possible to test products and treatments. There will also be a corner dedicated to sustainability. For perfume lovers, there will be olfactory and floral workshops, as well as an immersive installation combining six iconic Italian movies with a scented sensory experience.

The inaugural edition of Milano Beauty Week will be held from 3 to 8 May, i.e. immediately after Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, a five-day fair that will close on 2 May. After Fashion Month is coming Beauty Month?
