Making a base for face makeup in summer is a serious challenge: on the one hand, you want it to be opaque; on the other hand, you are looking for a light effect and, most importantly, one that does not make you sweat at all. In fact, if the mugginess and unbearable heat do not entice you to apply foundation, powder, primer and the whole normal routine, the alternative is tinted creams. Convenient and practical, BB and CC creams color, brighten, conceal and moisturize, all with an absolutely lightweight texture that's safe for the hot season. But when and how to use them properly?
This type of product was initially created for very young skins in need of protection, hydration and a minimum of coverage; they are used, not surprisingly, immediately after moisturizing treatment and, especially in summer, replace foundation. If you want, perhaps in the evening, you can apply them following the step with primer, so as to make the skin particularly firm and smooth, minimizing the visibility of enlarged pores. Since they are an extremely light product, with CCs and BB creams you do not run the risk of creating an effect that is too obvious and fake: the best way to choose them is definitely to try them in the jawline and neck area, making sure that there are no sharp gaps with your complexion. Since their covering power is minimal, there are usually only three shades: light, medium, dark. Hard to go wrong, in short. Both moisturize, both protect against UV rays, but if the BB Cream gives a natural look and moisturizes the skin to the maximum, the CC Cream corrects it chromatically providing more coverage than the former.
As for application, they are put on like a normal foundation, that is, blending from the center of the face outward. Not to be applied on the eye area because here, instead, you have to act with concealer so as to mitigate puffiness and dark circles.
