How to recreate a beauty look according to the "Lamineted Skin" trend
The perfect evolution of glass skin and dewy skin
October 17th, 2022
Make-up trends come and go, as we know, but during the fashion weeks there is something about the innovative and creative collections of designers that is offset by the beauty looks that manage to create real beauty trends. For the past two seasons, the focus has definitely been on skin, and after Glass skin and Dewy skin, what we saw at this year's London Fashion Week was Laminated skin, or translucent skin (in other words, "sweaty effect").
So it's all about achieving a 'laminated' glow: a beauty look that embraces that natural glow we can all naturally sport while working out at the gym, after sex or simply during the normal daily activities we do on the run. Initially coined by Terry Barber, Director of Make-up Artists at MAC Cosmetics, Laminated Skin dominated the catwalks at London Fashion Week and also made an appearance during New York Fashion Week. In an interview, Barber himself exclaimed that the sweat is not necessarily unsightly, on the contrary, "it can give you a really beautiful laminated, hyper-hydrated glow".

But it's not just a matter of illuminating the cheekbone area with illuminants as used to be done in the past, fundamental to Laminated skin is the use of hyper-creamy products, from skincare to make-up don't be afraid to overdo it: combining the forces of serum, cream, foundation and mist is the best strategy to achieve the laminated effect.
