How to make Diamond Lips

Diamonds are a girl's best friend. Marilyn celebrated them in a famous film many years ago, but the fact that these shimmering gems enter our daily lives is thanks to the creators of TikTok, who use them as inspirations for beauty and make-up. After vampire skin and manicures that try to recreate the bling-bling effect, now it's time for diamond lips. The technique, developed by Italian Eva Larosa, is quite easy to achieve. You do not need ultra-vinyl, kiss-proof lipsticks or crystals, just a few simple products with a shiny and metallic finish that we probably already have in our make-up bag: a white, pearly or metallic eye pencil (but you can also replace it with a creamy and luminous eye shadow with the same finish), a nude-coloured lipstick and a transparent lip gloss or a nourishing balm. In the end, we get an eye-catching and versatile look that is suitable for any time of day.

The first step? Draw a thin line along the cupid's bow with the white eye pencil. Larosa uses Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in the colour C'est La Vie! and proceeds to fill in the centre of the lower lip with the product and blend with her fingers. Next, outline the contours of the upper and lower lip with a neutral lipstick such as Pillow Talk Lip Liner by Charlotte Tilbury, except for the cupid's bow, and blend again. Then apply a generous layer of clear lip gloss or balm like Revolution Skincare Lip Protector SPF 30. To complete the look and enhance the glow, Larosa uses a glitter eyeshadow from I Heart Revolution I Heart Chocolate S'mores palette. Alternatively, you can use pink or bronze pencils and eyeshadows to create diamond lips. However, we advise you to harmoniously complement the make-up of the rest of your face by accentuating under the eyebrow and in the inner corner of the eye with the same product you use for the lips.
