Not just a choice of food, but a true philosophy of life that includes all ethical and consumer choices: Veganism is becoming a truly global phenomenon. It's a challenging choice, at the table and beyond, that can be tackled in small steps. In the UK, the website Veganuary invites people to try veganism for a month, while in France, the ecological campaign of lundi vert, Green Monday, which is a day to give up meat and fish, was successfully launched a few years ago by 500 celebrities, including actresses Isabelle Adjani and Juliette Binoche. You have to be committed, even at the table, but especially in your choice of beauty products. Yes, you understood correctly: cosmetics must also meet the standards of veganism, otherwise nothing works!

The most important rule is that there must be no animal ingredients, such as honey, beeswax, royal jelly, keratin, animal collagen, squalane, milk, silk protein and so on. In short, nothing at all that has to do with animals. Instead, vegan products use natural and organic ingredients such as essential oils, plant, flower and fruit extracts, grains, seaweed and minerals that provide the skin with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that help keep it healthy and hydrated without irritating it. What's more, vegan beauty products are not tested on animals. This means that no cruel and painful animal testing is done to evaluate the safety of the products. Instead, they are tested on human volunteers or using alternative, cruelty-free laboratory techniques. How can you recognise them quickly? There are symbols to look out for, such as "Vegan" with just a capital "V" or the sunflower, which is the international trademark of the Vegan Society, or even the V for VeganOk. These symbols guarantee that the product really is vegan. But that is not enough: True vegans want to know everything about the supply chain, from the cultivation to the harvesting of the ingredients to the final packaging - everything has to be transparent. And then the packaging must also be environmentally friendly, minimalist and always recyclable. And not only out of respect for the animals, but also for the environment. But let us get to the burning question: is a vegan product better for your health than a synthetic formula? Well, it's hard to say, especially when it comes to sensitive skin that often reacts to natural ingredients. What is certain, however, is that veganism is an important and respectful choice towards our planet and the animals that inhabit it. And do not think that vegan beauty is just a passing trend! More and more people are choosing to abandon conventional beauty products and switch to the vegan and organic philosophy. And you, what are you waiting for to join this revolution? Here are the 10 vegan products you should try now:
