Glazed Eyeshadow is the make-up of the summer

For mermaid eyes, like our favorite celebrities.

It seems like yesterday that Hailey Bieber  first brought Glazed Nails and then Glazed Skin into the spotlight. Two different beauty trends - the first with an iridescent manicure effect (the original was pink and with an iridescent finish), the second a trick for plumped and glowing skin - but they have the same mission: a glazed lens, like a donut.

It was only a matter of time before we saw this trend, which quickly went viral on social media, applied to the eyes. A single desire: a glossy look at eyelid level. However, the products you should have on hand go beyond glitter and we explain why.

How to achieve the Glazed Eyeshadow Look

Let us start with the base: primer is necessary to smooth the eyelid and make it slightly moisturised for step two, the application of glitter and liquid eyeshadow with a metallic texture. Choose formulas that are effortless to apply to avoid a 'speckled' shimmer, but rather an even application of colour. This way, the shimmer is taken to another, higher, almost alien level that is not only shimmery but also extremely dewy.

The glazed final touch is essential and it is achieved by applying a gloss gel (transparent lip gloss is also fine) or a liquid highlighter, that creates that unique glossy effect.

The glazed eyeshadow of  celebrities

The stars have already tried it out and the pioneer could only be Hailey Bieber. The It-girl combined these jewel-like eyelids with a simple make-up, with a natural complexion and a touch of pink on lips and cheeks. Make-up artist Ash K Holm also had fun creating a dreamy effect for actress Hailee Steinfeld's eyes, reminiscent of a mermaid's cloak in sea shades and a light purple shimmer. Playful and luxurious at the same time. A look reminiscent of the Euphoria TV series, but also suitable for daytime if you opt for pastel shades such as pink, peach and lilac, or even sky blue and green, which are very popular now and smell like summer.

Advice from the make-up artists

If you some advice from the catwalks, apply a shimmery eyeshadow with a damp brush after foundation and then apply gloss or your favorite liquid highlighter. The methods are varied and entirely personal. The only important thing is that your eyes are the focal point of your look.
