Selena Gomez has been in the entertainment industry since she was a child on Disney Channel. She then launched a highly successful music career, became the most-followed person on Instagram for a time, and eventually returned to her first love, acting. The TV series she stars in, Only Murders in the Building, has just been renewed for a fifth season, and the fourth is currently airing on Disney+.

Selena Gomez is a billionaire, and it's all thanks to beauty

Despite her long and varied career, what made Selena Gomez a billionaire is Rare Beauty, her makeup and skincare brand founded in 2020. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which is ranking her for the first time, Gomez has a net worth of $1.3 billion. Unlike her friend Taylor Swift, who reached billionaire status mainly through music and touring, the actress, singer, and entrepreneur has accumulated wealth through a combination of ventures, including her beauty brand. Her inclusion on the list is also thanks to brand partnerships and her mental health startup, Wondermind. All in all, an array of income streams that make her independent from her entertainment career.
