Gum Studio celebrates 15 years of dream experiences With a new innovative concept dedicated exclusively to private hair cutting

In 2009, Stefano Terzuolo founded Gum in Milan. Fifteen years later, a new and unique concept is introduced, exclusively dedicated to private haircutting. It's an innovative take on the hair salon, offering a bespoke and no-gender experience in a new multifunctional 240-square-meter space on Viale Umbria. The result is a 90-minute, one-to-one session that is unique and meticulously curated down to the smallest detail.

Words from Stefano Terzuolo, founder of Gum Studio

"From the beginning of my career as a hairstylist, I’ve always focused on attention, listening, and customization in every service I offer. Today, I believe the private experience is the natural evolution of this approach, aiming to provide special care to every single guest," emphasizes Stefano Terzuolo. He has created a warm and intimate environment with crisp white walls adorned with elements reflecting his passions: a steel bookshelf with a constantly updated selection of books and Italian and international magazines, a screening area for films and TV series, vintage leather chairs from the '70s, design objects that showcase Gum's evolution over the years, and a curated selection of natural wines and soft drinks to enjoy during the haircut. The new space is also designed to host exhibitions, talks, and mini-events, aiming to always leave room for creativity in all its forms.

The Haircare Product Line

The space also features a line of haircare products entirely created by Terzuolo himself. Each product is made with a carefully selected choice of high-performance ingredients, ensuring superior quality while eliminating harmful substances commonly found in cosmetics. Designed for an eco-conscious and discerning audience, the line reflects Gum's identity, emphasizing the care and well-being of hair with an ethical and sustainable approach.

The Focus is on the Private Experience

"The private experience allows me to enhance listening and assess various requests, building everything on mutual dialogue and finding the most functional and practical look for each guest," says Terzuolo. The haircut is performed on both wet and dry hair, and each client is equipped to recreate the same styling at any time in a practical and effective way.
