This look is inspired by one of the most iconic figures in Turkish cinema from the '70s, Türkan Şoray, all accompanied by the music of the turkish singer Sezen Aksu, obviously.

Born in 1945, she was a central figure in the Turkish film industry, known for her beauty, talent, and versatility. She starred in romantic, dramatic, and action films, winning the hearts of the audience with her unforgettable performances. In addition to her film career, Türkan Şoray has found success as a director and producer. She also holds a degree in medicine and is trained in seven different martial arts. But why is this makeup called Turkish Delight? The answer lies in one of the key features of this look: the rosy cheeks and lips, in a shade that closely resembles the Turkish sweet Lokum, a gelatinous candy with various flavors, including rose. Another distinctive feature of this look is the gaze: the eyes are made to appear large, even enormous!

To create this look, you'll need to focus mainly on the eyes, which are the real star of the makeup. Start by applying a butter-colored or white eyeliner on the inner waterline of your eye: this will make your eyes appear larger. Then, use a bold black eyeliner to draw a precise cat-eye. Using a brush, apply a dark black pencil or eyeshadow under the eyes to intensify the gaze.
