Nike to collaborate with Ambush, Marine Serre, Koché and MadeMe For the upcoming Women’s World Cup in France

Following the unveiling of the uniforms designed for 14 teams competing in the Women's World Cup 2019 last March, Nike continues to celebrate the upcoming sporting event with multiple collaborations with high rates of coolness. The company has teamed up with Yoon Ahn of AMBUSHChristelle Kocher of Koché, Erin Magee of MadeMe and Marine Serre, four women protagonists of contemporary streetwear, to create four mini lifestyle collections inspired by the world of football.

“We wanted to leverage the World Cup, a moment we believe will be a tipping point for women’s sport, to engage our ever-expanding global community of partners from the fashion, design and culture space in supporting and elevating female athlete voices and sports moments,” “Together, this collective represents a voice and spirit for the next generation of athletes.”

VP and GM of Nike Women Rosemary St. Clair tellVogue with the same enthusiasm for the new project as Christelle Kocher:

“Sports and fashion can have the same magic power: to make people feel stronger. I hope these pieces will help women to perform and have fun on playgrounds and in life.”

The special detail? Sewn into each jersey, the Nike design team included "individual messages of positivity" as a small gesture to encourage empowerment.

The collections will be unveiled in the coming weeks. Nike also announced that two more special running collaborations with designers Chitose Abe from Sacai and Virgil Abloh from Off-White will be presented by the end of the summer.
