Gentle Monster presents a new capsule with K-pop star Jennie Kim
Unveiled with a special pop up store
May 14th, 2020
Gentle Monster unveiled the new Jentle Home collection in collaboration with Jennie Kim with a special pop up inspired by the singer's childhood memories and located across from the brand's flagship store in the Garosugil district in Seoul. Once guests have entered the store, they find a real doll's house, populated by funny figures involved in daily activities such as bathing, telephoning or cooking hamburgers. Going up, they step into a fairytale space in pastel tones with a kitchen and living room that look like the perfect set for the ultimate Instagram shot. There is also a dressing room that hides a secret room with a teddy bear fountain. On the third floor of the pop-up location there is a retro-style supermarket with special products.
The Korean brand partnered with K-pop star and BLACKPINK member to present a range of different frames including square, oversized models like KUKU, slim metal rims with a minimal and retro look like IN THE MOOD and DAISY, classic slim fit in black acetate or tortoiseshell like 1996. The proposal features chains for glasses in thin silver or gold and maxi versions.
The glasses are sold with an original packaging that echoes the dollhouse inspiration.
The Gentle Monster collection is available on the Gentle Monster website and at off-line stores.
