Gabriele Colangelo FW20-21 collection

Gabriele Colangelo portrays a whispered elegance, made of clean lines, sartorial quality, continuous experimentation in manufacturing and inspiration from the art world. True to his DNA, for the FW20-21 the designer presents delicate poems made of leather and textures, minimalist silhouettes, softened by a beautiful and refined palette: mahogany, caramel, burgundy, pale chocolate, cognac, grey, ivory, mint green, ice blue.

The soft ribbed knit dresses and men's blazers are fractured by laser cut-outs revealing naked skin; wide trousers drop softly over the body; skirts are cross-linked in leather brightened by floral prints; suits in twisted wool and silk mix are v-necked at the front; hourglass-shaped tunics are tightened at the waist by thin belts.

The details make the collection even more special, tailoring elements turned into graphics that evoke the work in progress of the items such as the white thread bastings or the long laser-cut fringes on knit collars and coats, which recall the material works of the American artist Sheila Hicks.

Through this new collection Gabriele Colangelo allows us to rediscover in his ready-to-wear the passion for craftsmanship, the love for textures and fabrics, through the garments made by combining technology and craftsmanship, innovation and tradition.
