With a series of collages made by Gigi Hadid, Nikolai von Bismarck, Luella Bartley, Douglas Irvine and other artists

We are living in a strange period in which the concept of proximity is acquiring new meanings, evolving at the same time both in something to avoid in order to preserve our health and in something rare and, for this reason, precious. This evolving change, which inevitably also influences the relationship between the photographer and his subject, is the starting point of Close, Miu Miu FW20 campaign. The project, which was realized before, during and after the sanitary crisis, featured a series of artists, each of whom portrayed the brand's winter collection in their own personal style.
Each of the protagonists produced a series of visual statements on the unique and intimate relationship that they share with their subjects, showing their own unique interpretation within the collective project.
Gigi Hadid and photographer Liz Collins reported the backstage of the fashion show during the last PFW. The portraits of the individual models with the looks worn on the catwalk are, instead, by Douglas Irvine. Kate Moss, in partnership with Katie Grand, styled the outfits for her daughter Lila Grace, who is the star of a series of homemade shots by Kate's boyfriend Nikolai von Bismarck. Steve Mackey photographed London model Kasper Kapica in a local public park. The Polaroids were then hand-painted by Patrick Waugh. Finally, Amber Pinkerton described with her pictures the day that young Londoners returned to the city after the lockdown. The different shots are connected to each other thanks to the illustrations and collages made by Anthony Turner, Luella Bartley, Silvia Prada e Chantal Stracey.
The result is a intimate, DIY and creative tableu vivant which tells the story of Gen Z's first collective experience.
