Raf Simons his first-ever womenswear collection

The announcement came unexpectedly: on October 23, 2020 Raf Simons will present his first women's clothing collection. The Belgian designer will unveil his first looks alongside menswear, with a co-ed fashion show. It is not yet known if the format of the show will be exclusively digital, but we will find out in the coming days.

The next few weeks will mark a new creative beginning for Simons that on September 24th will debut during the fashion week in Milan at Prada's creative co-direction with a collection unveiled in streaming at 14.00 on prada.com and on all Milanese brand's social channel platforms. Many people are wondering how his artistic vision will influence Prada's evolution and, now that he is about to launch his own womenswear line, if the experience made working in 2005 for Jil Sander, continued then taking John Galliano's place at Dior and, finally, at Calvin Klein will be reflected in his new creations.

Simons has revolutionized men's fashion with his austere silhouettes and references to music and youth subcultures, to know if he will be able to do the same with womenswear, the appointment is October 23.
