The new Nike x Off-White Rubber Dunk
Release date and official images
September 25th, 2020
First introduced at the Nike Forum 2020, the Nike x Off-White Rubber Dunk are finally coming to stores in three colors: Green Strike, University Gold/University Gold-Black and White/University Blue-White. The new sneakers created by Virgil Abloh combine elements taken from the brand's archives, mixing the upper of the Nike Pegasus P-6000 and the outsole of the Dunk with the Air unit, which the American designer defines as "one of the greatest inventions in modern footwear". The look of the shoes is completed by the distinctive elements of Off-White, such as the ever-present orange tongue under the outline of the rubber swoosh which decorates the side, the writing "SHOELACES" on the laces and the orange zipper tie.
The chromatic choice of the sneakers is a tribute to three different eras. The gold celebrates the Atlanta '96 Olympics; white refers to the 2000's release palette and black, for Abloh, is "the perfect go-to for everyday life". Each colorway will release with exclusive regional availability: the Black, White and Green Strike colorway in the Americas; the University Gold and Black colorway in China and Asia-Pacific; the White and University Blue colorway across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The Nike x Off-White Rubber Dunk will be available from October 1, in adult, pre-school and toddler sizing on SNKRS, nike.com and selected retailers. Price? €180.
