The sustainable luxury of Prada Re-Nylon collection
Following the accessories, the green fabric becomes a new series of apparel

Prada is focusing on sustainability and responsible retail by expanding its Re-Nylon collection. Last year the brand launched six models of nylon bags inspired by the iconic 1984 Prada backpack that marked the first appearance of the fiber in the industry.
What's new? Nylon was regenerated, obtained from the recycling of plastic materials recovered from the oceans, such as fishing nets, landfills or textile fiber waste from all over the world. Now, in addition to the range of accessories, there is also a selection of clothing and footwear.
Nylon gabardine, woven on silk looms, durable and shiny, and Piuma nylon, a fine, lightweight nylon that gives a silky feel, are turned into cocoon coats, tailored single-breasted coats, cocktail dresses, t-shirts and shorts. All items combine sporty elements with sophisticated silhouettes and are equipped with front pockets, buckles and suspenders.
The Re-nylon 2020 collection also includes the first shoes in regenerated fabric: high or low sneakers, boots and Monolith shoes, but also new models of hats, belts, fanny packs and bags for both men and women.
If you want to do some cool and sustainable shopping, the Re-nylon capsule is available in selected Prada boutiques around the world, on prada.com and at selected partners through pop up stores.
