The new Prada bags for SS21

We are in the middle of winter, but the desire for spring is already great, as well as the desire to renew the wardrobe by introducing new clothes and accessories. Surely among the most loved items of the next season will be the new Prada bags for SS21. The Milanese brand, which has always followed its mix of minimalism, elegance, contemporaneity and innovative materials, presents a wide selection of models revisiting its DNA, also thanks to the new creative work of Raf Simons, who has joined Miuccia Prada in the design of its collections.

Prada's iconic nylon backpack is now updated with new prints taken from the works of Peter de Potter. The contrasting graphic designs (white on black or vice versa) break up the uniform and monochromatic surface of the item, becoming, as the brand itself says, the canvas of "worlds and aesthetic dialogs".

The must-have of the collection is the Cleo bag, which appeared for the first time in the Multiple Views fashion show and is already a favorite of influencers such as Chiara Ferragni, Gilda Ambrosio and Caro Daur. With its essential lines enhanced by the choice of brushed leather, the accessory is a reinterpretation of Prada's design in the 90s, a perfect "synthesis of classicism and futurism". Available in many colors, from classic black to teal, it is declined in two variants: with a top flap and with an open top. Although its slightly rounded shape at the bottom is designed to hug the body when you lay it over your shoulder, it can be worn in different ways. A few examples? Held by the handles as if it were a clutch or hand-held, clasped across the chest like the models on the runway.

The SS21 offer is completed by the Dynamique bag, in leather with double handles and triangular metal logo, and the Re-Edition 2000 Nylon Mini Bag which features a version made of black nylon and embellished with rhinestones.

The collection will be available online and in Prada stores from mid-January.
