The SS21 women’s collection by 2 Moncler 1952

Veronica Leoni revisits the codes of Moncler by adding to the brand's typical functionality a more feminine twist, combining elegance, comfort and contemporaneity. The result is a collection SS21 of 2 Moncler 1952 featured by new volumes and new silhouettes, designed to elevate the classic technical clothing and make it versatile, suitable for everyday life. So the tailoring of bermuda shorts and culotte pants finds the perfect match in outerwear and knitwear with their effortless chic touch given by the Breton stripes, crochet work, the thin ribs of the knit, but also by discreet details such as cotton rope laces, fishnet inserts and coulisse.

Leoni plays not only with proportions and shapes, but also with textures and weights. In fact, the quilting becomes lighter to adapt to the seasonality, while the attention to sustainability stays strong. The introduction of recycled Japanese rip-stop, treated with natural dyes and a mixed product made up of rubberized recycled nylon, and the use of raw cotton and linen are added to the laqué nylon of the trench coats, the opaque textures of silk and other materials that we find in the parkas, cropped duffle coats and other outerwear.

The accessories are also interesting, the shoulder pouches, the voluminous cylindrical bags that combine nylon and nappa leather and the raw cut leather sandals that complete the selection of garments created for the new proposal of 2 Moncler 1952. 

The collection, presented in an editorial starring top model Mariacarla Boscono, is made even more special by a palette that mixes some of the SS21 colors in an extremely refined way: from chalk white to blush tones, from aqua green to sage, from terracotta to chocolate and burgundy.
