Sanremo 2021: the best outfits and beauty looks of the first evening
From Elodie's glow make-up to Gaia' sleek bob
March 4th, 2021
Sanremo 2021 sounds more and more like a mash-up between a Disney live-action and a Raffaella Carrà tribute. At least looking at the memes that fill IG. The second night confirms this and ends, later and later, with Fiorello as a crow, an audience full of balloons, a beautiful and talented Elodie in a double version of host and performer (absolute star of the show) and, again, a shower of sequins.
Here are the looks of the second day of the Festival.
Elodie
Brand: Versace, Oscar de la Renta, Giambattista Valli
Look: Stunning. Elodie wins the contest of the best looks of Sanremo - with the support of stylist Ramona Tabita - even when she wears the red tulle cloud of Giambattista Valli Fall 2019 couture that started a rain of memes on IG. Perfect in the metallic mesh long dress with a deep slit by Versace, she then turns into the Italian JLo to perform a medley of songs and opts for a silver thread disco queen dress from FW20 by Oscar de la Renta. She closes the show in a cascade of ruffles, always Giambattista Valli. The make-up is glow, with blush that sculpts the cheekbones. The hairstyle? High chignon, followed by an ultra-long high tail in Ariana Grande style.

Laura Pausini
Brand: Valentino
Look: Black gloves, glittery cape over a total black outfit, slightly wavy and lightened hair, baby pink lipstick matched with gently glittery smokey eyes. Laura opts for a brand new outfit from the Valentino Act Collection which, unfortunately, makes her look a bit awkward. Too bad!

Gaia
Brand: Ferragamo
Look: A little bit Rosalía, a little bit Raffaella Carrà. Gaia emphasizes the Spanish sound of her song with a custom Ferragamo outfit by Paul Andrew with transparencies and fringes, selected with the help of Ramona Tabita (who is also Elodie's stylist and proves to be the winning card to be the coolest at Sanremo). She completes the look with a sleek bob and glow make-up, with her eyelids and lips dyed the same peach shade.

La Rappresentante di Lista
Brand: Valentino
Look: As with Coma Cose, La Rappresentante di Lista comes on stage wearing a sweetheart look and opts for a fuchsia total from Valentino SS21. Despite the gorgeous outfit, as with Pausini, something doesn't quite work here either.

Malika Ayane
Brand: Giorgio Armani
Look: Malika accompanies the elegance of her song with the class of King George, but on her net of crystals, feathers and velvet do not work. As well as the beauty choices that do not enhance her, make it a little too dark. The "messy effect" hairstyle does not convince us.

Achille Lauro
Brand: Gucci
Look: Achille Lauro pays tribute to Mina on the notes of Bam bam twist with a look that references the iconic cover of the 1987 album Rane Supreme. The idea is cool, the very long red braid and the graphic make-up give Lauro a nostalgic allure and conquer the stage. Maybe we expected even more from him?
