GANNI and Vestiaire Collective have a common mission: to make the fashion industry more circular. That's why they launched a new project called OLD + NEW = NOW, a series of 4 videos in which the #GANNIGirls will give the community of the Danish brand and the second hand app a series of tips to make our wardrobe more sustainable and cool.
Danish models Caroline Bille Brahe and Chili Dia, musician Flame Faire and model, interior stylist and creative director Christine Sofie will teach how to pair GANNI pieces from past collections with pre-loved pieces found on Vestiaire Collective.
I’ve always loved vintage. It ensures clothes are loved forever, gives everyone freedom to express their own style, and enables reinvention of our wardrobes in a circular way. - Ditte Reffstrup, creative director of GANNI, explains - It also allows us to reinvent our wardrobe through circular fashion. I'm thrilled to be collaborating with Vestiaire Collective - one of my favorite things is unearthing treasures to buy! I love seeing how my friends and the coolest girls in Copenhagen pair the latest GANNI pieces with those from past collections. I love seeing how my friends and the cool Copenhagen girls in each video style up newer Ganni pieces with pre-loved. By expressing their personalities they make everything unique.
Fanny Moizant, co-founder and president of the French company, is also happy for the new partnership and said:
We are thrilled to partner with GANNI and its incredible community to actively support circular fashion. Both Vestiaire and GANNI want to change the way we consume fashion, and I think by giving a second, third or even more life to clothes, you’re already bringing that sustainability mindset. I'm excited to lead the way in sustainability with a global brand like GANNI.
All the items worn in the four episodes are available to buy, while interviews with the #GANNIGirls are live on the social channels of both Vestiaire Collective and GANNI.
