Zendaya stars in Valentino Rendez-Vous campaign

The Maison and the street meet through the magnetism of Zendaya in the new Valentino Rendez-Vous campaign. The actress takes us to a sort of musical filmed at Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles that evokes the mood of the films of the 80s to explore the concept of movement, meeting and contrast between inside and outside. Choreographed by Stephen Galloway, Euphoria's Rue moves lightly and stylishly through the sunny streets of L.A. and the backstage area of the shoot, dancing with passers-by, swaying among the lanterns full of dresses chosen for her by Law Roach or chatting on a sofa with Pierpaolo Piccioli.

What catches the eye in the video and in the shots by Michael Bailey Gates, is not only Zendaya, but also the many beautiful looks from Valentino's SS22 collection. In just a few minutes, the star wears mini-dresses with cut-out details, power suits with impeccable tailoring, oversized shirts and shorts made special by a theatrical cape slung over her shoulders, gladiator sandals and elegant bags. All in purple, yellow, green, fuchsia, light blue, ...bright, vitaminic colors, made even more vibrant by the play of light created by cinematographer Marcell Rév (the same as Euphoria) and Scott Sakamoto.

Valentino Rendez-Vous is more than just an advertising campaign or, the confirmation of the special relationship that binds Zendaya with the Maison, but it is a celebration of joie de Vivre, "a joyful polyphony of bodies in motion" that simply enhance the beauty of Pierpaolo Piccioli's creations for spring/summer 2022.
