"Retro Pop Future", the new surrealist collection from OOF WEAR
A pop, colorful and funny look at the world
February 22nd, 2022
OOF WEAR is back with a new vitaminic, fun and versatile collection that brings a captivating joie de vivre to the FW 2022/23 season. Alex Prager's shots, with their saturated tones and cinematic allure, are the starting point for Retro Pop Future and its outerwear that mixes different colours, materials, silhouettes and textures to create a unique style explosion. Voluminous shapes meet floral or spotted patterns and a rainbow of fluorescent and acid colours contrasted with softer, earthy tones. Lilac, fuchsia, yellow, green, mustard, blue, white, brown, red, pink, purple, orange invade with their pop cheerfulness the light nylon down jackets, to be chosen in the matt or shiny version; the padded colour block waistcoats in water-resistant technical fabric, the eco fur prints, but also all the other garments such as leggings, soft knits, wool waistcoats and activewear with a 90s look.
The focus of the collection is the wide selection of jackets made from green materials and with the inner padding completely recycled. Each model features an oversized fit that protects against the cold and at the same time looks cool, is customizable to personal style and is perfect for every daily routine: from walking the dog to shopping with friends, from a date with your partner to a trip to the mountains.
The outerwear with its irresistible verve, combined with the FW 2022/23 apparel pieces, is also the highlight of the video chosen by OOF to launch the new collection. Andrea Calvetti, against the colourful and funny backdrop of illustrator Jonas Kalmbach, takes us on a surreal and ironic journey inside a cable car. Infected by the cheerful pop of the OOf WEAR models, a group of unsuspecting passengers begin to dance, taking them, like by magic, to a virtual disco where style, light-heartedness and fun rule. The film will be on air on 24 February exclusively on the milanofashionweek.cameramoda.it platform.
