Desigual presents the capsule collection in collaboration with Johnson Hartig

25 colourful, funny and unique garments inspired by the "more is more" philosophy

Desigual presents the capsule collection in collaboration with Johnson Hartig 25 colourful, funny and unique garments inspired by the more is more philosophy

The collaboration between Desigual and designer Johnson Hartig seemed to be written in the stars. What unites them is the same aesthetic vision and the same funny mood, accompanied by attention to detail that was captured by photographer Daniel Jackson. Both the Spanish brand and Libertine's creative director love to mix inspirations and different elements, playing with colour, patchwork and mix and match prints to create something eclectic and non-conformist. These are the same elements we find in the #DesigualXJohnsonHartig capsule collection, as the North American designer explains:

"Desigual is known for its prints and intense colours, which are also present in the designs of my brand, Libertine. It was a great joy to know that I could exaggerate as much as I wanted with prints and colours. Sometimes my designs are even smaller than Desigual's! In this collection, we created a print based on multicoloured patchwork that is both incredible and harmonious".

The result is 25 garments inspired by the more is más concept and made special by mosaics of hypnotic prints, rhinestone applications, denim touches, crochet embroidery, coloured beads, glitter and fringes. The must-have item? The bomber jacket with a black nylon base contrasting with the many coloured stripes sewn from the neck all the way up represents the desired visual impact that the brands want their customers to achieve. There are also slightly preppy essentials that can be mixed and matched to create a personal and identity-driven style, such as the zip-up hoodie, the Bermuda shorts full of sequins and contrasting patches, the blazer or the matching shorts with multicoloured Vichy checks.

The funny side of the capsule is given by the styling, based on element's layerings, representing the meeting of the two creative universes between Desigual and Hartig, but also the many possible combinations with which the garments, from graphic printed T-shirts to two pairs of sneakers, can be worn. The #DesigualXJohnsonHartig collection is available online and offline in selected retailers all over the world.
