All the reasons why Skims is a nominee for the Innovation Awards

Kim Kardashian continues to collect successes. Skims, in fact, will be the first brand to receive the brand new Innovation Award presented by the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) for its visionary approach to fashion that has enabled it to be a leader with technology and innovation in branding/marketing, social media, customer engagement, performance or product development, thus influencing the way consumers buy fashion.

Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA, emphasised the commitment of Kim Kardashian, co-founder Jens Grede and Chief Product Officer Emma Grede, in revolutionizing the concept of shapewear, loungewear and underwear, expanding the range of sizes and styles at affordable prices: "Fashion relies on true visionaries to push the envelope and propel our industry forward. With Skims, Kim, Emma, and Jens have pioneered new technology in the process of reinventing the concept of solutions-oriented shapewear. Together with our CFDA Fashion Awards partner Amazon Fashion, which is a continuous innovator on behalf of customers, the CFDA is incredibly proud to honor Skims with the inaugural Innovation Award." Kardashian and Mr. and Mrs. Grede, who will accept the award during the CFDA Fashion Awards ceremony scheduled for 7 November in New York, said they are honored for the recognition of their work and pledged that they will continue to seek innovative solutions to satisfy all their customers.

Skims will not be the only star at the event on 7 November. Also among the nominees for the CFDA Fashion Awards 2022 will be Catherine Holstein for Khaite, Christopher John Rogers, Gabriela Hearst, LaQuan Smith and Peter Do who will compete for American Womenswear Designer of the Year; while in the menswear running will be Emily Bode Aujla for Bode, Jerry Lorenzo for Fear of God and Mike Amiri for Amiri, will face Thom Browne for Thom Browne New York and Willy Chavarria. Lenny Kravitz will be crowned Fashion Icon of 2022; Law Roach, famous for transforming Zendaya's style, will receive the first Stylist Award.
