Lizzo launches a gender-neutral shapewear line

When Lizzo founded YITTY in April 2022, following the lead of many other celebrities, in partnership with Fabletics, she wanted to create shapewear that was comfortable, durable and fit every body type, offering a wide range of sizes, from XS to 6XL. Now the pop star is ready to take another step towards inclusion by creating YOUR SKIN, a line dedicated to people "of "all gender identities" and a significant first step in the world of underwear for those who identify as non-binary, trans and gender-fluid. With the tagline "You deserve to be happy in your skin", the new project was unveiled by the singer on Instagram with these words:

"When we say we support every body, we mean it. We believe in radical self-love for people of all gender identities - including the trans, non-binary, gender-fluid and gender non-conforming communities that have been chronically underserved. So, we decided to take our expertise and create styles that serve those very same communities." - adding, "I've watched countless videos of people crafting their own garments to wrap or tuck their bodies so their body can truly feel like theirs. I've heard people talk about their preference of wanting to be fluid in how they want to present their bodies depending on their mood or style of clothing. And I wanted to help."

More than just a shapewear line, YOUR SKIN seems to be a kind of symbol of self-love, a celebration of one's body through a range of garments made from headlining fabric and perfected over time through numerous wear tests, feedback from the community and attention to detail.

The YOUR SKIN by YITTY collection will be available on the brand's website next summer. Many of the styles, including the Binder Top and the Tucking Thong, will be a permanent part of the shaping collection and therefore always available for purchase.
