Trend alert: mini dresses for SS23
The warm weather officially returns and the desire to wear short dresses
May 25th, 2023
In the early 1960s, Mary Quant had displayed the first miniskirts in the windows of her Bazaar boutique in London, which became a symbol of protest and women's emancipation. A little more than a month after the death of the visionary designer who was able to radically change women's habits and style, we are talking again about the minidress, a garment that actually never left the mores and customs of the modern wardrobe and that is making a strong comeback this summer season.
Which celebrities love the mini dress?
Anne Hathaway opted for a crocodile leather mini dress, sheer stockings and tapered ankle boots, all in black, along with glasses and a mini bag, marled stripes, crochet jumper and clogs for Carlotta Oddi, an oversized pinstripe blazer and snow-white pumps with Giorgia Tordini's all-white mini dress, cut-outs and asymmetric transparencies for Greta Futura, socks, sandals and a micro bag with Sidney Sweeney's little black dress with a square neckline.
