Sometimes they are inspired by the classic, belted models in the typical beige color, like Audrey Hepburn's in Breakfast at Tiffany's or Meryl Streep's in Kramer vs. Kramer; other times they prefer a bolder design like Catherine Deneuve's vinyl trench coat in Daytime Beauty. Not just beige. Many neutral shades never go out of fashion to choose from when it comes to trench coats. Stunning in its essentiality and angled, asymmetrical buttoning is Lemaire's trench coat. Always cool is The Frankie Shop which declines the garments in different cuts, fabrics and colors, from leather to gabardine, from black to ice. Studio Nicholson, the brand founded by Nick Wakeman in 2010 drawing inspiration from Japanese culture and architecture, prefers a raglan-shouldered silhouette and a loose, voluminous cut that make the outerwear sophisticated, yet easy to wear. The lead-gray color is somewhat reminiscent of the one sported by Jennifer Lawrence in recent months. If we're looking for something a little more easy, Cos's short model with a collar tab and adjustable cuffs might be the way to go, with the addition of a detachable scarf that can be draped over one shoulder for a chic touch.
