31, TV and Radio Host

I'm Margherita Devalle, I'm 31 years old and someone also knows me as Fatty Furba and LaFigliaDelDelDottore. When I was a child I was undecided whether to study quantum physics or to work in the fashion world, then I decided to follow to my natural attitudes: curiosity, machine gun voice that goes off only when you switch off the microphone, and the obsession with music festivals.

For a few years now you can find me on air on Radio Popolare with my program LaFigliaDelDottore doing interviews to the coolest artists of the moment, or around the web with columns and curiosities. In February 2021 I launched my podcast Fatty Furba to explore the world with the speed of a TV series and the sounds of a radio show.

Being a woman in the radio and music world where the male predominance is stark has never been easy.

Unfortunately, sisterhood in my working field is difficult to find and the boys are more likely to make a squad than the girls, so I would speak more of a beautiful brotherhood acquired with the boys. However, I find sisterhood much more in my daily life, with my friends and committing myself to it.

This was one of the reasons for the birth of my podcast episode "Fatty Furba - Lavoro Presso Me Stessa" dedicated and created together with all the women who have made their way of being and communicating their own life engine, becoming voice and examples for other women. In addition, Milan is very large with many cool girls throughout the city, so along with friends who work in the creative world we decided to create a networking group for women called @collettivomilano.

We meet twice a month always in different locations: I liked the idea of creating new offline meeting moments in front of a cocktail, with the common interest of creating new connections. It's a collective born just before the lockdown in 2020 and restarted this summer (as soon as we could meet again live): a moment to spend time together, offering a welcoming and relaxed space for meeting, support, and sometimes even exchanging job opportunities!

Don't give up and never ever think that if a project or a proposal doesn't go as you hoped, the color to see is necessarily black.

Over the years, I have learned to take the no's as strengths to draw benefits from, rather than disappointments that make you feel "wrong" or "unfit". Talent and study are essential, but perseverance and determination are the real driving force behind everything. So girls, roll up your sleeves and press on, always!
