Sami Mirò and Heron Preston together for the "Natural Disaster" capsule collection
A range of vintage upcycled items for SS20 season
March 11th, 2020
Sami Mirò, the American designer known for her sustainable streetwear creations, has joined forces with Heron Preston for an eco-conscious capsule collection inspired by the environmental damage caused by global warming. Unveiled during Paris Men's Fashion Week at HP's SS20 show, Natural Disaster features 35 items from the brand's archive, reworked with Mirò's style using upcycled vintage materials.
The result is a selection of hybrid outfits, for men and women, in which denim is combined with contrasting fabrics such as silk and organza: cropped jackets paired with straight leg jeans, biker style blazers and pants, black leather mini dresses decorated with front zip-ups and side cut-outs, short-sleeved button-down shirt with a denim pocket sewn on the back, sheer micro top with puffed sleeves. The must-have item? A special version of the popular Valentina body by Sami Mirò.
The Sami Mirò x Heron Preston collection is available on Heron Preston's website, in stores and at selected retailers.
