In August, however, during a particularly warm and sultry day, when you find yourself adjusting a stained eyeliner and poured mascara, you will certainly wonder if there is any waterproof products that really work and that can make you flawless even in extreme situations, so much so that they can be worn easily in the swimming pool, by the sea or in any other conditions that are not properly make-up friendly.
The answer is obviously, yes there are! All products, from foundation to the inevitable eyeliner, passing through mascara, have water-resistant options to create a heat-proof make-up. In addition to the sea and the pool, in fact, waterproof make-up can also be worn in situations that require a make-up that lasts all day long even if you sweat, like a hot summer day in the city or an intense workout. We all know that, at the seaside, it is always better to opt for a soft make-up that let our skin breathe, especially if you want to sunbathe, but this doesn't mean giving up make-up!
However, let's remember to always apply the precious sunscreen under make-up, especially at the beach. But where to start? Here are the step by step and the right products for a perfect waterproof make up routine.
STEP 1
Let's start from the base. The application of the foundation with waterproof formula is no different from the application of any other normal foundation but, to ensure a "wow effect" even in summer, there are some small tricks to follow: first of all, change your usual face primer with a waterproof one to keep the base on longer. Secondly, when you need to blend the foundation onto your face, be sure to use a damp sponge to get a uniform application. Instead of immersing the sponge in water to wet it, moisten it in a fixing spray to further "block" the make-up on the skin.
STEP 2
If you have dark circles, pimples or scars that you want to cover, a waterproof concealer will be your new best friend to hide these small imperfections in all situations. The most important advice to follow is to work quickly, because these products tend to fix on the skin very quickly and, when they do, you can no longer work on them. Then, to apply it correctly, dab the concealer under the eyes using the heat of the fingers to dissolve the formula faster.
STEP 3
If you love the eyeliner, even in extreme conditions, you cannot skip this step. You can use a gel formula or a pencil if you prefer the shaded effect but just remember - even in this case - to act quickly before the product adapts and a mess comes out.

A basic step that nobody can miss: mascara is in fact the real must-have of every woman in terms of make-up. Well yes, the most annoying thing about waterproof formulas is how difficult it is to remove it. So when you wear it, always make sure you have an oily cleanser on hand to remove makeup before going to sleep.
STEP 5
Eyebrow care with waterproof products in summer is also essential. In fact, with high temperatures, it is difficult to ensure a long-lasting eyebrow make-up: from gel to pencil, you are spoiled for choice to show off perfect eyebrows even in particularly "hot" situations.
