Jessica Alba’s best outfits on set
From the sexy heroine of Sin City to the girl next door in Crazy for Charlie
April 28th, 2021
Jessica Alba has lived at least four lives. Between the end of the 90s and the beginning of the new millennium she was a child star, the beautiful little girl who had a dolphin as her best friend in Flipper and, just teenager, she was the heroine of the cult series Dark Angel in which she sported a series of Matrix-like outfits made of long trench coats and leather pants, mini sunglasses and denim with sportswear elements. The early 2000s coincided with international fame, big red carpets and film sagas from Fantastic 4 to Machete, but also many comedies such as Good Luck Chuck or Into the blue, where she was the girl looking for sunken treasures alongside Paul Walker. The real breakthrough role, that from girl next door, has established her as the sex symbol, face and body of Robert Rodriguez's action movies? Definitely that of Nancy Callahan, the stripper-cowboy of the Kadies' in Sin City.
At some point, her career seemed to be holding her back. Jessica wanted more, less Hollywood glamour and more real life. So she cut back on her screen appearances and dedicated herself to her family, her husband, film producer Cash Warren, and their three children. Motherhood was the inspiration for her fourth life: that of a businesswoman. In 2011, she founded The Honest Company, a brand that sells non-toxic products for the conscious, sustainable consumer market, from household and baby items to cosmetics, and soon became a billion-dollar company.
