Julia Fox could star in the Madonna biopic

Julia Fox is the girl of the moment. Since her relationship (real or created for marketing strategy?) with Kanye West has become official, documented by a shower of Instagram posts and a report in Interview Magazine, everyone is talking about this New Yorker with a disturbing beauty. Even Madonna. The queen of pop posted a series of IG shots taken by Ricardo Gomes with Julia and a crew of cool people that also includes Ye, also former boxer Floyd Mayweather and NFL player Antonio Brown. All sitting on the large couch of a private room at Delilah, one of L.A.'s best-known restaurants, while Drake's Come Thru plays in the background. The most interesting photo, however, has as protagonists Madonna and Fox embracing, accompanied by a caption, written by Miss Ciccone, which reveals the real reason for the meeting:

"Went to dinner with Julia to talk about my movie and some other folks showed up…………………"

Based on these few words, rumors have multiplied that Julia could be in the cast of Madonna's biopic. Currently in the works, the project, which should be titled Blonde Ambition, was announced in April 2017 by Variety, co-written by Madonna herself with Diablo Cody, later replaced by Erin Wilson. The sta, who will also direct, said unveiled some details about the plot that will trace the most significant milestones of her life:

"I want to convey the incredible journey that life has taken me on as an artist, a musician, a dancer — a human being, trying to make her way in this world. The focus of this film will always be music.  Music has kept me going and art has kept me alive. There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell it than me. It’s essential to share the roller coaster ride of my life with my voice and vision."

What role will Julia play? Some say she will play Madonna, some say her sister Paula, while for most fans and insiders, noting the striking resemblance between the two, it is likely that she will play the role of Debi Mazar. Actress, make-up artist and cool kid from 80s New York, Mazar has been Madonna's best friend since the two first met on the dance floor of the legendary club Danceteria. Since then they have shared important moments, spectacular parties, videos (from True Blue to Music), without ever leaving each other. The choice of Fox to play Mazar makes sense: the two share the same features, intriguing look, pout, but also the same Italian origins and party girl attitude. Similarities highlighted in a two-way interview Julia did with Debi in August 2021 for Document Journal, but which she confessed before that to Refinery 29 in 2019:

"I love Debi Mazar. She and I are probably the most similar because we’re both New York club kids, very colorful life, wild child, independent New York girls. I always look to her. If she could do it, I could do it."
