5 cose da fare a Milano durante la Fashion Week
Gli spot da non perdere in questo ritorno dal vivo della maggior parte degli eventi
February 21st, 2022
The return of live shows and a city that once again pulses with life two years after the fateful February that pressed the pause button on fashion and its theater. Suspended between local connections and a global network, in a forced link with digital, the shows have gone on, but since Carlo Capasa, President of the National Chamber of Italian Fashion announced the return of the big brands to the physical catwalks, the magic of the digital catwalks has vanished, once again shining the spotlight on the streets of the Milanese capital. From February 22 to 28 Milan will see the return of Gucci, Versace, Fendi, Bottega Veneta and all the fanfare that has always accompanied the Fashion Week. To fully enjoy the city during this full week, here are our tips to fill the basic needs and enjoy Milan with the backdrop of Fashion Week and all the movement that involves: here are our recommended spots to drink, to eat, to chill, to shop and even to club with the restrictions of the case. And happy Physical Fashion Week to everyone!
To Discover - Jacquemus 24/24
Location TBC
The first destination not to be missed is not a Milanese classic but still a temple to be visited absolutely in the heart of Fashion Week 2022: from Friday 25th at 9:00 am to Sunday 27th at midnight, it will be possible to buy the creations of Jacquemus in the irresistible vending-machines style pop-up that has already made Paris fall in love during the last fashion week. The location of the shop, without clerks and all pink in true Jacquemus style, is still unknown, but rumors see it located in an easily accessible location in the city center.
To Chill - Lù Bar
Zona Porta Venezia Via Palestro, 16
02 8352 7769
Between one presentation and another, the thirst quickly rises and even the hectic times of Fashion Week bend under the great beauty of the garden of Villa Reale in Porta Venezia area in Milan. Here Lù Bar is the perfect spot to sip a refreshing extract or a soft cappuccino surrounded by greenery and soft lights of the well-kept location. It's also possible to eat a typically Italian light lunch, with echoes of Sicilian cuisine thanks to the founders' ability to infuse their roots into this place, to be happy and full-bellied before flying off to your next appointment. Well connected and extremely Instagrammable.
To Shop - Shop The Story Vintage
Zona Carobbio Via Cesare Correnti, 11
Shop the Story was already an established reality in the world of vintage in Milan with its online shop, but now with the new physical space in the central area of Carobbio, a few steps from the Duomo, you can find real gems of vintage avant-garde: Comme des Garçons, Junya Watanabe, Prada, Miu Miu, Jean Paul Gaultier, Sacai, Undercover, Dries Van Noten are some of the designers who animate the selection. Definitely a place to see during Fashion Week 2022.
To Eat - Nebbia
Zona Navigli Via Evangelista Torricelli, 15
A few steps from the inflated night-life of Naviglio Grande, Nebbia is a modern and minimalist restaurant with a menu that crosses tradition and experimentation for which it is worth making a detour on the roadmap from the classic areas of Milan Brera. The modern but not cold cut of the location, halfway between a French bistro and a trattoria, makes Nebbia the perfect place to spend an evening with friends to talk about the day just ended and fill your belly with some delicacies of the skilled chefs Federico Fiore (@federico_fiore) and Mattia Grilli (@mattiagrilli), and sommelier Marco Marone (@marcomarone), a close-knit trio who worked in Michelin-starred restaurants including Le Chateaubriand in Paris before deciding to strike out on their own.
To Club - Euforia @ Gate Milano
Zona Farini Via Valtellina, 21
Icing on the cake for the fashion week, on Friday 25th February Gate, a venue known in the city for its avant-garde and hyper-technological space, turns into a temple of transformative music where DJ cymbals become surfaces that shape the surrounding ecosystem under the skilful hands of Honey Dijon, directly from Circoloco. The echo to the TV series that has been making the most talk in the last month is no accident.
