Ariete is just Arianna singing and growing with her project

"I called the record Mirror to say This is Me, these eleven tracks are who I am right now and who I have been for the past few months. I've grown a lot since my first approaches to music but I don't want to change anything about the themes I deal with because that would be like changing myself. At the end of the day I always say it, Arianna is just Ariere singing."

This is how Ariete introduces the album out today for Universal Italia, her first official work after the EPs and the summer tour that declared her a new identity talent to keep an eye on in the Italian scene. Ariete, born in 2002, is a girl with a passion for music, astrology and fashion, a big fan of Euphoria and already a professional singer, who has turned her passion into a job. Thanks to the desire to communicate, and a bit also thanks to the pandemic, a period in which she did many direct on Instagram in which she spent time and entertained her - at the time 2000 - followers by singing. 

The forced confinement of the past few winters allowed her to speak to the hearts of people willing to listen and empathize with her words, focusing on a deeper analysis of the lyrics. Her approach to music was initially introverted, like that of any boy who exposes himself from his bedroom, but the strength of her words and the passion with which she pushed them into the right channels led Ariete to grow personally as well.

"Before I used to do a thousand stories and if something happened I would post with no problem, now I think more about my image. Unlike a few years ago, I'm better with the people around me now and I often stay home at night with my friends and family rather than going out and going somewhere I know I wouldn't enjoy the evening."

 

Arianna matures with her project, as do her loyal fans who have been following her since day 0, into a diverse scene of the very young and fans of music written from the heart. Launching an album that boasts collaborations with Madame and Franco 126, Ariete acknowledges how much working with professionals she used to listen to is a unique opportunity that shows how much she has actually grown:

"I'm really fond of Franco 126 because when they exploded in Rome with Carl Brave I listened to them so much. Yesterday I autographed a vinyl for Franchino and I wrote him a dedication "in 2019 I was in the front row at the Atlantico to sing all your songs and now I dedicate one of my vinyls to you because you are in it, even if I would have dedicated it to you the same because I respect you so much".

In the Italian music scene first he listened to Calcutta, then the wave of Italian trap when he started to change the rules of the game in 2019 and now he leans more towards Bomba Dischi's Bunker 44 and the international scene appreciating the alternative indie of Pink Panthress and Tame Impala. In addition to music, the world of fashion also holds a great fascination for the singer, who walked the runway for the first time at Milan Fashion Week for Marco Rambaldi on February 23.

"I don't know how it went, also because I got hurt in the mountains two weeks ago and I was walking a bit sore, but I still decided to parade and do this new experience, I didn't care, I told myself I'm going and I'm having fun. I love fashion, it's my second passion after music".

says Ariete just back from the Sunnei fashion show on February 24, while wearing a green and blue turtleneck vest from the new collection of the Milanese brand and a pair of blue Nike Patta. The relationship with fashion and with her body she lives in a very serene way, given the habit now established with the stage, her audience and being under the spotlight. Arianna is confident as she speaks and for a character who always stirs up crowds this is crucial, as she acknowledges by quoting Maddy from Euphoria in episode 7 of the season "90% of life is being confident, whether it's true or not". Ariete gets more and more in touch with her mature side by delving into the world of Astrology as well, which is also somewhat related to her chosen stage name based on her zodiac sign.

"I had my birth chart done by an astrologer: I'm Ariete, Capricorn Ascendant, Moon in Gemini and Venus in Ariete. It interests me a lot and actually my name is also linked to my zodiac sign, even if I didn't choose it on purpose, in fact in a totally random way".

Someone asked her if Ariete meant the energy with which she breaks down doors, others mentioned the fact that Ariete female at a certain point of her life mates with mates of the same sex. Ariete is simply the name Arianna came up with when uploading her first piece on Youtube, following that urgent need to publish her music and be heard, which drives her path, increasingly studded with successes.
