Elodie makes film debut with "Ti mangio il cuore"

Summer 2022 is Elodie's real hot season. Following Tribale, the hit that is making us dance and contributed to the return of the thong; the role of godmother at Gay Pride in Rome; and the rekindled passion with Marracash, come the images of Ti mangio il cuore, the film that marks the Roman singer's film debut. Shot in black and white in Puglia, under the Gargano sun, the film is inspired by the novel of the same name by Carlo Bonini and Giuliano Foschini and tells the story two underworld families, the Malatesta and Camporeale, who have lived in a constant feud since time immemorial. In this Wild West atmosphere, forbidden love blossoms between Andrea (Francesco Patanè), the heir of the Malatesta family, and Marilena (Elodie), the beautiful wife of the Camporeale boss, and, inevitably, war breaks out between the two clans. It will be up to Marilena, to free herself from exile and imprisonment and thus take back the reins of her own destiny.

In the first images of the gangster movie Elodie pierces the screen, beautiful, proud, she seems perfectly at ease alongside established actors like Michele Placido and the rest of the cast including Francesco Patanè, Lidia Vitale, Francesco Di Leva, Tommaso Ragno, Giovanni Trombetta, Letizia Cartolaro and Brenno Placido.

That is why director Pippo Mezzapesa thought of her for the role of the wife of a boss of the Apulian underworld who falls in love with a man from the rival clan. And we are very curious to see her in the unprecedented role as an actress following the example of other Italian singers such as Emma Marrone and Ornella Vanoni who recently appeared successfully on the big screen. Who knows if we will also see her treading the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival again? Ti mangio il cuore, in fact, may be in competition. What is certain is that it will hit theaters all over Italy next September 22.
