Elodie speaks out on Italian political issue
And she comes out against the political agenda of Giorgia Meloni and Fratelli d'Italia

"It scares me." This is how Elodie commented on Twitter on the political program of Giorgia Meloni and Fratelli d'Italia, which has among its cornerstones the defense of the natural family, the "fight against gender ideology and support for life," the "defense of our national sovereignty," border control and naval blockade, and the abolition of the "only Italian anomaly of the indiscriminate granting of self-styled humanitarian protection and asylum only for women, children and families who are truly fleeing war." In the run-up to the September 25 general elections, the singer, who was patroness of the Roman gay pride and has always been active in the defense of equal rights for the LGBTQ+ community as well as migrants, took a clear stance, expressing legitimate concern about a fascist-motivated political line that fuels hatred and division. And it matters little if, as many have pointed out, accusing Elodie of mystifying reality, that program actually refers to the 2018 general elections and not to those that, after Draghi's resignation, we will face next September 25. It is true that Fratelli d'Italia, finding itself in coalition with Lega and Forza Italia, will probably sign a common program, but it is equally true that the points of concern for the Tribal star have always been part of the ideology of Meloni and her party. These are ideas that the politician has expressed on several occasions and that Elodie has always maintained are dangerous.
A me sinceramente fa paura. https://t.co/hxGkZ3m4dY https://t.co/ZPYXNWcJFF

In recent weeks, the godmother of Roma Pride in an interview with Peter Gomez's La Confessione had said that she struggles to understand the positions and livor of Giorgia Meloni and Matteo Salvini, who foment fear instead of encouraging understanding, inclusion, and taking a step toward others. Then she had stressed that "everyone has their own life and their own way of seeing things," so instead of fomenting divisions between people, "we should try to figure out how to all live together in our diversity." Elodie had also attacked the FdI leader after her speech against de facto couples at the convention of Spain's far-right Vox party, stressing that there are no series A, series B, series Z families and that rights are for everyone.
Elodie was one of the few celebrities to speak out in person on the current political issue. In the past, however, so did the Ferragnez by raising funds to build an intensive care unit during the first wave of the pandemic or by talking about the intensification of crime in Milan; Elodie has been one of the few celebrities to speak out in person on the current political issue. In the past, however, the Ferragnez did so by raising funds to build an intensive care unit during the first wave of the pandemic or by talking about the escalation of crime in Milan. In Italy, influencers with a large following who expose themselves politically are there, and many do so in an ironic way to avoid major repercussions on the subject, demonstrating that those with a following possess a tool that should be used to amplify messages with social and cultural value.
