"You are already loved beyond words." With these sweet words spread on Instagram, Paris Hilton revealed to her fans and the rest of the world that she became a mother through surrogacy. Accompanying the caption is an image of her hand, with a flawless, milk-colored manicure, clutching the tiny hand of a baby boy, probably a boy, as the emoticon of a little blue heart suggests.
Although the heiress's last official appearance of a few weeks during Miley Cyrus's New Year's Eve special, where she had sung Stars Are Blind, her hit from the early 2000s, left no hint of the happy event, recently Paris had repeatedly expressed her and her husband, Carter Reum, desire to become parents. The couple, who were married in November 2021 after a romantic proposal on a private tropical island complete with an emerald-cut diamond ring made by Jean Dousset, of having considered surrogacy on Kim Kardashian's advice and attempted the in vitro fertilization (IVF) route, hoping for the birth of twins, during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic. "We started because the world was in lockdown, we wanted a family, and I thought, 'This is the perfect time, I'm usually on a plane 250 days a year, let's freeze and prepare all the eggs,' we have many waiting," Paris exclusively told People. Also to the U.S. magazine, now Paris confirmed the birth of her son, "It’s always been my dream to be a mother and I’m so happy that Carter and I found each other. We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy." Congratulations!
