Single princes and princesses to meet now The dating season has officially begun

Scandals, titles, tiaras and coronations, ceremonies and adorned capes, pompous marriages and dramatic divorces, rivalries and palace murmurs. The lives of royals in Europe and the world seem straight out of a fairy tale, or rather a tabloid. Although the Californian elopement of Harry of England and Meghan Markle may have given the public a glimpse of the dark side of royalty, there are still people who would do anything to be part of this lavish and secretive world of fame and glitz, obligations and ceremonies, gorgeous dresses and ribbon cutting. But who is left for ordinary mortals in a world (that of the royals) where people tend to marry young and almost invariably choose members of the upper middle class or aristocracy?

Foremost among the golden bachelors are the Chatto brothers, Samuel and Arthur, from the British royal family. They are the great-grandchildren of Queen Elizabeth, sons of Lady Sarah Chatto and Daniel Chatto, and grandsons of Margaret, the late monarch's beloved younger sister. Samuel, born in 1996, is an artist. He is blond, has a clean face and looks intellectual. He has dedicated his Instagram profile to his ceramics. Arthur, born in 1999, could not be more different. The boy loves sports and the outdoors, has an athletic physique that he loves to show off, and is a lieutenant in the British Navy. Perhaps he had enough of the increasing press attention and decided to deactivate his Instagram profile. A series of fan pages have sprung up in its place.

Also in the UK, the children of Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh (brother of King Charles) and Sophie of Wessex have recently come under the spotlight. Let us leave aside the youngest, James, who is 15 (he was born in 2007), and deal with his older sister, Louise Windsor, who was born in 2003. The girl has always led as normal a life as possible, away from the limelight. However, when her parents started to get involved in the affairs of the palace in the front line (after the departure of Harry and Meghan), the world started to see more of her. Louise enjoys driving carriages like Grandfather Philip, studying English at St Andrew's University and the Premier of Manitoba renamed a lake in her honour when she was only 4 years old. Not bad!

On the way north and arriving in Denmark, we meet Isabella, who is only 16 and the daughter of Mary of Denmark and Fredrik, the heir to the throne, but more importantly Nikolai and Felix. The latter are actually no longer princes since January, but Counts of Monpezat, sons of Queen Margrethe's second son Joachim. Although they have been demoted to streamline the monarchy, Nikolai and Felix are not doing too badly. Born in 1999, the former has been a model for years, has modelled for Dior and Vogue Scandinavia dedicated a cover to him. He has brown hair and very blue eyes and a girlfriend, Benedikte Thoustrup. Nothing too official, though. The slightly younger Felix, born in 2002, does not seem to have a profile on Instagram, but already stands out because of his Nordic beauty. In Norway, however, all eyes are on Leah Isadora Behn, the 18-year-old second daughter of Maertha Louise of Norway, sister of the Crown Prince, and beauty influencer. She is sixth in line to the throne and attended the debutante ball at the famous Shangri-La in Paris as Charlotte Casiraghi.

And in Italy? Only fallen royal families, but no less prestigious for that. We point to Maria Carolina and Maria Chiara di Borbone, aged 20 and 18 respectively, who live between Paris, Monte Carlo and Rome and celebrated the Scudetto of Naples with the family, and of course Vittoria di Savoia, the daughter of Emanuele Filiberto and Clotilde Courau, born in 2003. All these little princesses seem very interested in the jet set, fashion and high society.

Finally, it is impossible not to mention the royals of Greece, starting of course with the very blonde Maria Olympia, eldest daughter of Pavlos of Greece and Marie-Chantal and granddaughter of Constantine II of Greece and Anne-Marie of Denmark. Although technically no longer a royal family, Olympia and her siblings lead glamorous lives that include fashion shows and social engagements. Constantine Alexios, born in 1998, is a sculptor, model and filmmaker. He is rumoured to have started a relationship with Poppy Delevigne in March, but this has not been confirmed. Achileas Andreas, born in 2000, on the other hand, is an actor. In short, we are spoilt for choice: let the race for the next royal couple begin!
