How to Create a Vision Board

Choose the tool - or material - that suits you best

Are you someone who prefers technology or feels more confident in getting hands-on and touching every texture and element? There are various options for creating a free vision board. Some prefer to use Pinterest because it is easy to gather images and links. However, Pinterest is not organized like a traditional goal board. You cannot create a layout like that of a physical board. A tool that allows even non-designers to easily design their own digital board is indeed Canva. Canva's easy-to-use design tools can help you create a fantastic board even if you are not a design expert. To create a physical board, more materials are definitely needed. In some cases, you can make do with what you have on hand. But some materials are more important than others. For example, you will need a board as a base; if you don't want to spend much on new items to create your board, you can cut out a large piece of cardboard from a box you have at home. Alternatively, you can buy a large board from the nearest store.

Include written elements

To unleash the full potential of your boards, do not forget to include quotes that align with your vision. This applies to both a digital and an "analog" version and can be:

• handwritten
• printed and attached to the board
• drawn in calligraphy
• cut out from interesting materials, such as old shirts

Furthermore, a vision board can contain items of sentimental value. These objects can be related to special memories that remind you of your goals.
