It's Lux Pascal's moment
Let's put aside the famous brother and focus on the next IT girl

When we mention Pascal, what comes to mind? Probably Rapunzel's chameleon, the French mathematician philosopher, and Pedro Pascal, in no particular order and depending on personal inclinations. The actor, after gaining public attention for his role in Game of Thrones, won over skeptics with Narcos and later with The Last of Us. Now, he rightfully resides in the Olympus of the beautiful and fascinating in the world of TV series and social networks. Few, however, know that Pedro comes from a large family and has 2 brothers and 1 sister, Lux, a model and actress born in 1992. She is the focus of our attention, as well as that of the rest of the world.
Lux Pascal, Passionate about Acting
At the Emmy Awards held on January 15th in Los Angeles, Pedro, besides sporting a noticeable bandage (caused, as he later confessed, by a shoulder problem), was accompanied by a very beautiful woman, holding him close and wearing an open-back black dress with loose flowing hair. This was indeed Lux Pascal, who, at the age of 32, has an impressive resume. In 2010, she began studying theater in Chile, and in 2023, she graduated from Juilliard with an MFA in acting. In between, a long-term relationship with actor José Antonio Raffo, a lot of theater - especially in Chile, her parents' homeland, and in the Spanish language - and roles in productions such as Veinteañero a los 40, No quiero ser tu hermano, Ella es Cristina, and The Prince. In 2017, she also made an appearance in Narcos, alongside her older brother.
A Normal Coming Out
In February 2021, she made her coming out as a trans woman, first in Revista Ya and then on her Instagram profile. On that occasion, she stated: "I don't feel anxious when I look at old photos. I simply see someone doing what they loved. For everyone in my family, my transition was seen as a natural, normal thing, almost as if they expected it." About her brother, she shared: "He has been a very important part of this process. Being an artist himself, he guided me. He was one of the first people to provide me with things that built my identity." Pedro, when asked about her and the struggles trans people face in America, says: "I don't want to speak for her. But what I can say is that she is and has always been one of the most powerful and personality-filled people I know. My protective side is lethal, but the truth is, I need her much more than she needs me." In short, a story without too much drama, with a lot of self-discovery, brotherly love, and a happy ending - a normal story that doesn't make a fuss or doesn't play with the public's desire to invade the privacy of famous people, and perhaps that's why it should be told.
And a Bright Future
With the coming out comes the activist label. Lux doesn't shy away but sets boundaries, stating in the same interview: "We need trans activists who are good, intelligent, informed, and authoritative in addressing not only transphobia but also homophobia and racism." A great awareness, therefore, also on the importance of intersectionality, which should not be taken for granted. In her future, more than raw activism, there is a (hopefully) significant entry into the world of American cinema and a career as a star. The future belongs to Lux Pascal, and we can't wait to see it unfold.
