Lil Jolie: "I want to get to know myself more and more"
Interview with the singer of Sola and Farsi Male

Lil Jolie has a gaze that's hard to forget. It's the gaze of a young and sincere girl but also extremely reflective, weighing her words and unafraid to bare herself through her music, with the courage to switch effortlessly from urban to Italian singer-songwriter styles.
In her career, two distinct souls emerge. One on SoundCloud (where she first released her tracks in 2018), focusing on independent music, and the other on a national fame level, involving appearances on Amici di Maria De Filippi and television. "Amici was a formative experience that allowed me to explore many sides of myself that were previously uncharted. The SoundCloud approach is much more straightforward and genuine, like bedroom pop. It was all homemade, not done professionally. When I felt like doing something, I did it—I would write and publish on the same day. Whereas on Amici and in real life, things don't happen that fast. The main difference lies here. I've changed too, in the process. I've grown," she tells us.
In this growth, there's also a renewed focus on songwriting. "My music is inspired by my life, my friends, the people I love, and everything around me," says Lil Jolie. "I draw inspiration from what I live and what I would like to experience." In her recent past, an important collaboration with Madame, who like her writes her own songs and often gifts them to others. "My collaboration with her started spontaneously. I was still in the Amici school, so I couldn't go with her to the studio; we couldn't share that aspect of music-making together. I would like to do something with her in the future, a direct collaboration."
And besides Madame, who else would she like to collaborate with? Once again, the focus is on songwriting: "I would love to collaborate with the new Italian singer-songwriters, with Colapesce and Dimartino; it would be great to meet in the studio. Also with Gianmaria, to see what comes out. With Calcutta, with Tommaso Paradiso." In her future, therefore, "lots of live shows, new songs. I hope to continue making music and write an album." Always following her instincts, which is also what she wants to advise to those who want to pursue a career in music: "You have to be yourself, pursue the goal."
Lastly, it's impossible not to talk about beauty and skincare, especially the products she can't live without. "I love facial cleanser, especially at night." And in her future? "Lots of music, a strong desire to live and explore new worlds, to know oneself even more, and this can only be done by traveling and performing."
