This year's London Fashion Week took place at the most cathartic moment for the British peninsula in 10 years, the death of Queen Elizabeth. Some major events were canceled, such as the Burberry and Raf Simons runway shows, but the show had to go on albeit maintaining the national mood of loss and mourning. Keeping the bar high in the artistic vein that distinguishes the British creative scene were the people present outside the selected for Simone Rocha or Loewe shows who sported detailed looks, true to their style straddling historical references, mix and match aesthetics. Accessories and beauty looks proved to be the centerpiece of the looks that populated the streets of London, from bags inspired by pearl-core shapes and concepts to gold cascades around the necks of a predominantly gender-fluid crowd that caught our eyes.
