The best beauty looks of Paris Men’s Fashion Week FW20
Soft make-up and hairstyles and extravagant jewelry take the central stage
January 20th, 2020
After London and Milan, Paris Men's Fashion Week FW20 has come to an end. We saw a more pronounced distinction between sartorial and streetwear than during the previous weeks in London and Milan. This duality becomes even more evident in the contrasting beauty trends that took over the catwalks in Paris: on one hand super soft make-up, almost invisible, and natural hair, on the other hand, extravagant accessories and "dramatic" make-up.
In common these opposing trends have the use of jewellery, that embellished many of the runways in Paris: oversized earrings for Y Project, jewellery-hairbands chosen by Takahiro Miyashita "The Soloist", gems and glitters on Dior Homme and Alyx models', piercing-jewels for Acne Studios, and graphic decorations on the collections of Kiko Kostadinov and Louis Vuitton.
nss G-Club has selected the best beauty looks of the Paris Fashion Week, as well as a few products to replicate them in a mini-shopping guide.
JACQUEMUS
The elegance and charm of the models is the highlight for Jacquemus' runway in Paris to present his collections: the warm tones of beige and sand blend in perfect harmony with the skin tone of the models, their make-up, the loose soft hair and the golden details of the jewellery.
ALYX
The beauty looks that Alyx choose for his models have two key features: natural make-up and loose hair parted in the middle, and the symmetric jewellery hair clips, recalling the shiny details that brighten some of the items of the collection.
ACNE STUDIOS
Also for Acne Studios, makeup is light with glossy nude lipstick and the hairstyle is wet-effect - but what we liked the most is the jewellery-piercings: in the middle of the lower lip or between the eyes, they create a point of light on the face of the models.
ANN DEMEULEMEESTER
The Belgian designer recreated a magic atmosphere, turning her models into nymphs: the long wavy hair is embellished with jewellery crowns of leaves, and the eyeshadows in pastel shades cover the whole upper part of the face of the models.
TAKAHIROMIYASHITA THE SOLOIST
From the beauty looks of the Japanese designer Takahiro Miyashita, we noticed the eyes, that stand out thanks to the light brushstrokes of white texture and the jewellery-hairband, that creates a luminous spot on hairstyles.
