6 things to do at home to face the quarantine - Week 6
From the home-made drinks to prepare to the apps for a good workout
April 16th, 2020
We have now reconciled ourselves with the idea that, for most of us, in fact the lockdown period will continue until the beginning of May (or later). In short, to find the bright side, we will stay at home all day in cozy outfits and slippers for a few more weeks.
We spent even the Easter holidays in quarantine this year, and instead of barbecues and "Easter with whoever you want" we had to settle for video-chats with friends and Zoom dates with our crush. There are those who, despite the situation, couldn't miss the Easter eggs, good lunches and a few glasses of wine, in order not to give up the traditions.
And also for this week, nss G-Club offers some tips and ideas on how to spend the week, including cookbooks for all tastes and products for the daily beauty routine. Enjoy!
1. 5 HOME-MADE DRINKS TO TRY
After all the recipes, more or less healthy, that we have proposed, drinks could not be missing. All home-made ONES, because they are lighter, have many benefits, and are simple to prepare, ideal for warmer spring days (even with the addition of ice). Here is the Pineapple smoothie, for those who love pineapple and its benefits; Strawberry extract, for those who need vitamins and sweetness; home-made lemonade, a refreshing classic for the arrival of the heat; the smoothie with ginger, carrot and fennel, for a light lunch or breakfast; and finally the avocado and cocoa smoothie, for a healthy but tasty drink.
2. 5 LOUNGE PANTS TO WEAR AT HOME
Following our latest advice on cozy hoodies and socks, to complete a perfect home outfit, only the sweatpants, also called lounge pants or track pants, were missing. From the colorful ones with cartoon patterns by Vetements, to the soft total white of adidas Originals and Essentials, to the classic gray of the Aries x New Balance collaboration, to the elegant black of Burberry, here are the coolest lounge pants according to nss G-Club.
3. 5 APPS TO DO HOME WORKOUT
Apps of any kind are our companions and allies in this period of isolation. We have already told you about some of the main apps for yoga, meditation and workout, but there are so many that the list is almost endless. Among our favorites: Nike Training Club, which offers many different workouts; Cyberobics, that is offering free workouts due to the Coronavirus emergency; 8Fit, which offers workouts combined with food plans according to needs; Yoga For Beginners, the free app for those who want to start practicing yoga immediately; and finally the Johnson & Johnson app, which offers 7-minute workouts for those who don't want to waste time.
4. 5 COOKING BOOKS FOR EVERYONE
In our list of book recommendations, cookbooks could not be missing. And we are not talking about boring cookbooks, incomprehensible and very complex, but here is more about funny books, that perfect for cooking in an amusing and relaxing way. Ready to learn how to cook?
5. 5 NEW TALENTS TO LISTEN TO
Not only the music bosses, or the r&b groups that marked the 90s, or pop icons like the Pussycat Dolls: it's time to make room for the emerging artists who impressed us most in the last period. In addition to the incredible Lous and The Yakuza we mentioned here, we give you some talents to keep an eye on, mark these names: Girl Ultra, LayFullstop, Cosima, Greentea Peng and Fatima. Stay tuned, nss G-Club will keep monitoring the new talents of the music scene.
6. 5 BODY SCRUBS TO TRY
In addition to facial skincare, with a careful and complete beauty routine, perfect hands thanks to an accurate do-it-yourself manicure and hand creams to remedy disinfectants and compulsive hand-washing, the body also wants its part too. It's the right time to start exfoliating, so we recommend our favorite body scrubs to try immediately.
