Leaving the house every day and feeling comfortable with ourselves by communicating self-confidence to those in front of us, can put each of us faced with the usual questions: "What can I wear today?" and "Oh my God! How do I make myself up?". But who said that to go to the office or to go shopping, make-up should be invisible?
Actually someone did. Although we strongly believe that professional life or credibility should absolutely not depend on our image / beauty choices, a recent study by the Scottish university of Abertay that takes the views of 150 men and women, showed that women with flashy makeup are less likely to be considered potential leaders at work while, on the contrary, women made up in a more visible way during an evening are considered to have a strong appeal compared to the others. Quite discriminating, isn't it? The study presented faces to the participants by manipulating the type of makeup in the images: each participant completed a face perception task in which he judged 16 pairs of faces made up and not. It turned out that men and women rated women more negatively as leaders if the image saw a heavier make-up.
Still, make-up can also be of great help both on professional occasions and in everyday life, to make us feel fierce by hiding the little flaws that often make us insecure, and enhancing the details that make us unique. But is there, therefore, a "right" make up to be successful?
First of all, there are rules that can help you find our ideal "everyday make up": being able to communicate what you are, your style, your personality. In general, the goal of make-up is to enhance our natural features, not to overshadow or distort them. So go ahead for foundation, face powder, concealers, blush and mascara and, during the day, better not to overdo it with eye shadows and lipsticks.
For a summer look, to be worn during the day (maybe for many consecutive hours), it is better to opt for nude, pastel colors, light foundation and the least number of "layers" as much as possible: even if the heat and the inexorable flow of the day will tend to spoil the make up, in this way you will notice little. A little touch up will be enough to return shining. It is recommended to keep the most daring beauty looks for the evening, if you spend a few hours in a club, there is less chance of going home with poured makeup - and even if the makeup is ruined it will certainly be noticed less.
After all, however, the only key rule is this: wearing make-up that makes us feel better and more comfortable in that specific situation we are about to face. If it is a normal day between work, university, shopping and other weekly duties, nss G-Club opts for what we can define as "everyday make up". STEP 1
Perfect skin always wins. However, if you are not fond of the all day long foundation, you can safely opt for a CC cream that will make the complexion more homogeneous but without weighing it down. You can then add a veil of pink blush on the cheeks or a touch of bronzer that will surely make you look more radiant. Always carry it with you, for last minute touches during the day. Finally, don't forget the face powder, the perfect ally that allows the make-up to be stable and long-lasting.
STEP 2
Let's now move on to eyebrow care. We should remember to comb the eyebrows daily using a brush: this simple gesture helps stimulate the renewal of the hair and put it in order. Then proceed to fill them in small strokes, preferring pencils with micro-leads and always following the direction of hair growth.
STEP 3
At this point, let's move on to the eyes. Indispensable is mascara to which you can add a line of black eyeliner if you wish. And, why not, he can also dare every now and then with a colored eyeliner, perfect for summer! For eyeshadows, dark or pastel shades are preferable, to avoid instead glittery or sparkling textures, more suitable for the evening.
STEP 4
Last but not least. On your lips, apply a long-lasting moisturizing lipstick. As a shade, the ideal is to opt for a neutral pink or peach, nude colors, and better if with a matte texture, avoiding here too the glossed or bright textures that tend not to last all day
