Perfect yield and natural finish. These are the two characteristics that we like so much, on the make-up side, on the faces of the young promises of the English Regency by Shonda Rhimes. And specifically, Daphne Bridgerton's dew skin. The same hair and make-up supervisor from the set of the Bridgerton TV series, Lynda J. Pearce, revealed on her Instagram profile how to recreate the complexion we loved so much on actress Phoebe Dynevor.
«Soak the skin with Olehenriksen's Banana Primer. Then move on to the base, with a veil of Chanel Vitalumière Aqua foundation and, where you need extra coverage, use Bobbi Brown's concealer. To hide the dark circles I used Touché Eclat by Yves Saint Laurent Beauté. And to top it off, I fixed the look with Chanel's translucent powder. A little tip: on the set for the final checks, I used Matte by MAC Cosmetics, to touch up the areas that were shiny. It also allows the natural dew of the skin to emerge».
However, an essential detail was missing, namely how to recreate pink lips and cheeks like a rosebud. Rose, Daphne's lady-in-waiting, in the second episode of the series, had revealed her perfect - but secret - recipe to give the beautiful debut's cheeks and lips a perfect bonne mine effect. Rouge, as she calls it, is her exclusive mix of powders, which gives the young woman's complexion an elegant and refined rosy touch. In reality, the used product exists and is for sale. Pearce herself revealed it again on Instagram.
«We used a touch of Pixi SheerCheek Gel, to give three-dimensionality and make the lips irresistible. Flushed is the reference shade, bright yet with a very natural effect on the skin».
The product in question is an oil-free multipurpose gel from PIXI, ideal for giving an extra touch of color to the complexion. Its texture is light, hydrates and soothes thanks to the aloe vera inside. Just apply a small amount on cheeks and lips, heating the product with your fingers. To be a full-fledged Bridgerton, waiting to discover new beauty tips in the second season.
